Making Valentines

February 12, 2008

First, I promise I do have two other children :)   Just so happens that Riley has had "projects" lately.  Also, he is the least cooperative photo wise, so I take advantage when he’ll let me.

Today Riley was making the Valentine’s for his class.  I took pictures of all three kids a couple weeks ago in preperation and today I picked up the prints.  So we were ready to make the Valentines.  Enjoy - Valentine’s Making, Riley Style.

He had so much fun making the Valentine’s for his class.  And he didn’t eat toooo much of the candies. ;)

The Sweethart Dance

February 10, 2008

Every year the Girl Scouts have a dance to celebrate Valentine’s Day.  It is a tradition in our house every year.  Chris and Ashley get all dressed up and he takes out for her big dance.  As she grows older, and we watch these fleeting moments pass us by, it is endlessly precious to see her look forward to this big night.  Here are just three pictures - and yes, I couldn’t resist one of them is portrait style :P

The Sandtable

February 8, 2008

Inspired by Merakoh Photography and her Never Say Cheese theme, (see www.merakohblog.com).  The idea is to capture your children in beautiful photographs that tell the story of childhood.  Not just capturing stunning portraits of children.  I know I am guilty of not taking the time to capture the things in life that I will miss as they grow up.  So this is my new project.

Today Chris and I gave Riley a moonsand set to play with in his sandtable.  He is a serious little guy, and I think that these pictures show my serious little guy at play :)   I want to always remember his quiet demeanor and his determination to make the best cow ever.
